Krucze Mountains
Krkonoše Mountains
A small range of mountains lying on the state border with Poland. The highest peaks in the Krucze Mountains (Vraní hory) are found within the Czech Republic. The highest mountain is Špičák, 887 m MSL high and roughly 300 m above the surrounding terrain.
The Czech name for the range, Vraní hory, means Crow Mountains, so named because the shape of the peaks together is reminiscent of a huge flying bird, with the dark colour of the forested slopes most reminiscent of a crow.
