The building has retained its original structure dating from the Renaissance with later building interventions, made mainly after the fire of 1799, which heavily damaged the building. In the mid-19th century, there were other significant modifications to the house. A brick porch was added on the south side, which is very unusual for Trutnov. In the attic room gallery vernissages and cultural programs are held and there is a permanent exhibition space on the floor below. The pride of the gallery is the 1937 painting In the Pink Room (V růžové světnici) by Josef Čapek, Otto Gutfreund sculptures and a collection of works of art that captures the development of regional and Czech art.
